About The Owner Juli
I always loved hanging out in a kitchen. Not only am I a foodie, but I just love the ambiance of a kitchen at work and the hum of activity found there. It’s often been a place of solace and serenity for me. From a young age, I found myself especially fond of baking, and that is the direction I took. During one of my high school years, I entered the pie baking contest and won. I was through the roof! I ended up graduating high school with honors in Home Economics and that started my journey into baking. Creating pies just came easily for me and it simply became my passion.
I have been making my signature apple pie for over 25 years, and have worked to expand our business menu. I tried to start this business nearly two decades ago, but the timing didn’t work in my favor. But now, with continuous research, mentoring, encouragement from family, and just a lot of grit, I have created Out on a Limb Pie Co. I truly enjoy producing a quality product that our customers have come to expect. Though the enjoyment is there, so is the hard work! Many sleepless nights have been spent in the pie kitchen to make sure orders were ready on time and baked to perfection. Our business is now seeing the “fruits” of that labor as the company continues to expand and we gain more happy and loyal customers.
As interest in gluten-free products has become mainstream, we have joined in the effort to offer something for everyone. We have been offering gluten-free desserts through various business partners, but due to the popularity of these products with our own customers, we are now offering them weekly ourselves.
